The Silence Beyond Eden

Image
The Silence Beyond Eden  The sky, dust-laden, wears the stains of ash, while restless souls gather pearls of eternity, yet their hunger remains unsatiated. Frontiers bleed, dreams crumble into ruins, and nameless children inherit an unknown Eden's ashes. Once, your footsteps consecrated the earth, your breath sanctified the wandering winds. Now, iron and fire dictate the fate of spring. Who taught the flowers to fear their blossoming? Perhaps the giants still play their ancient game, moving kingdoms across the chessboard of the earth, while pawns of flesh and blood vanish beneath their shadows. And you remain silent, beyond the ruins of paradise. Is your silence the final mystery of creation, or the permission through which the giants reign?

Mirage

Image
Mirage Perhaps it takes a lifetime to realise that life is never poetry— but rhyme less prose, woven with countless tales of unfulfilled desires. Around them revolve anger and laughter, tears and fleeting joys, all unfolding within their destined hours, composing an absurd, futile drama. There, juicy, ripe grapes hang forever beyond our reach. Though, in the distance, a promised panacea seems to beckon, offering solace to body and mind, its soothing promise fades, after a while, into a mirage. By Goutam Roy

Distance

Image
Distance The farther the arms of the clock of age run, the wider grows the gulf between men— till this planet itself seems to break apart into lonely islands. Yet we must spend the days carved in fate, quietly learning to drink from the cup of the self. Perhaps this distance is inevitable— an inherited legacy. By Goutam Roy

The Obsidian Reach

Image
The Obsidian Reach Smearing umbra, the ripples of the ocean drift incessantly, as if to want— to enclasp the dark of an infinite sky. In an unbroken arc, the silent ripples rise, rolling like a hush across water, at their own will, rapaciously— bearing the mystery of creation, veiled in silence. Forever they compose, deepening hidden truths. By Goutam Roy
