The Silence Beyond Eden

Image
The Silence Beyond Eden  The sky, dust-laden, wears the stains of ash, while restless souls gather pearls of eternity, yet their hunger remains unsatiated. Frontiers bleed, dreams crumble into ruins, and nameless children inherit an unknown Eden's ashes. Once, your footsteps consecrated the earth, your breath sanctified the wandering winds. Now, iron and fire dictate the fate of spring. Who taught the flowers to fear their blossoming? Perhaps the giants still play their ancient game, moving kingdoms across the chessboard of the earth, while pawns of flesh and blood vanish beneath their shadows. And you remain silent, beyond the ruins of paradise. Is your silence the final mystery of creation, or the permission through which the giants reign?

The Little Barn Owl

 The Little Barn Owl

All at once,

a baby barn owl,

emerging from its hidden nest,

began to wander

across the green field.

Perhaps it could no longer wait

for its parents

to bring food.

Small, fearless,

and strangely self-reliant,

it searched among the grass

for insects

hidden within their earthy dens.

But at the sight

of this unfamiliar creature,

the innocent Dutch  grew afraid,

sensing danger

where none was meant.

Their timid hearts trembled

at the thought

of some misfortune

waiting in their midst.

And so, instead of delighting

in the rare sight

of a young barn owl

taking its first uncertain walk

into the open world,

their innocent minds

shrank beneath the shadow

of imagined fear.
