The Silence Beyond Eden

Image
The Silence Beyond Eden  The sky, dust-laden, wears the stains of ash, while restless souls gather pearls of eternity, yet their hunger remains unsatiated. Frontiers bleed, dreams crumble into ruins, and nameless children inherit an unknown Eden's ashes. Once, your footsteps consecrated the earth, your breath sanctified the wandering winds. Now, iron and fire dictate the fate of spring. Who taught the flowers to fear their blossoming? Perhaps the giants still play their ancient game, moving kingdoms across the chessboard of the earth, while pawns of flesh and blood vanish beneath their shadows. And you remain silent, beyond the ruins of paradise. Is your silence the final mystery of creation, or the permission through which the giants reign?

Unseen Beloved

 Unseen Beloved

Suddenly, a branch

bends low before

a young pedestrian

walking along a dark,

stony path

deep into the forest.

A strange cackling sound

breaks from the tree,

as though something unseen

has awakened there

to frighten him.

Yet the young man

stands still,

bravely taking out

his camera

to capture the moment.

Then, from somewhere

within the darkness,

the figure of a young woman

slowly appears.

Her face is blurred

in the dimness,

but she comes closer,

carrying with her

a familiar perfume.

The young man asks,

“Who are you?”

She smiles.

Then, in a husky voice,

she whispers,

“Can you not recognize

your beloved—

the one you lost

the one for whom

you still wander

helter-skelter?”

Ecstasy overwhelms him

at her sudden proximity.

But whenever he tries

to come closer,

the shadowy figure

moves farther away.

Driven by longing,

the young man threatens

to end his own life

if she leaves him again.

Then the beloved returns.

She comes close

and embraces him

in her silent arms.

The following morning,

a dead body

is found lying

on the forest ground.

But before the police

can recover it,

the body vanishes—

as mysteriously

as the unseen beloved.
